The modernization and diversification of the national economy, as well as the attraction of foreign investments into all sectors of the economy, are among the priority areas of Turkmenistan’s economic strategy. Our country remains consistently open to effective cooperation with foreign partners, and the comprehensive socio-economic programs currently being implemented are creating favorable conditions for the expansion of mutually beneficial relations.

As is well known, Turkmenistan is a country with vast reserves of natural resources. This serves as a foundation for the development of cooperation with foreign countries in the fuel and energy sector. In this regard, the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) gas pipeline is one of the most important projects. It holds significant socio-economic value. According to experts, the construction of the gas pipeline, related infrastructure, and new institutions and enterprises will create thousands of jobs in the neighboring country.

The TAPI gas pipeline project, initiated by the Hero-Arkadag and aligned with the interests of the peoples of the regional countries, is a substantial contribution to the formation of a stable energy system. This transnational gas pipeline represents a vital step in implementing an energy strategy aimed at creating a diversified system for delivering energy resources to global markets, taking into account the interests of producers, transit countries, and consumers.
