At an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on February 7 of this year, our esteemed President emphasized the necessity of successfully implementing the adopted program for the development of the country's oil and gas industry, aimed at strengthening its industrial and export potential. In this context, identifying existing opportunities within the industry's production structures and their effective implementation is a key condition. The work carried out by the "Goturdepennebit" oil and gas production management of the state concern "Turkmennebit" serves as proof of the successful resolution of the tasks set.
In recent years, this management, which regularly updates its technical and economic infrastructure, stands out among many enterprises within the concern engaged in the extraction of oil, gas, associated gas, gas condensate, exploration and production drilling, transportation of hydrocarbons through pipelines, construction and modernization of gas compressor stations, regulation facilities, capital and underground works, and the construction of production and cultural-social facilities. Over the first two months of the Year of Peace and Trust, the management's specialists extracted 179,880 tons of "black gold" from operating wells, which amounted to 106% of the planned target. This figure represents almost a third of the total extracted raw materials across the entire concern during the reporting period. Compared to the same period last year, an additional 9,740 tons of oil were extracted, indicating a significant increase in the pace of production growth.
This rich oil and gas region, which will celebrate 70 years since the start of industrial development next year, is one of the largest oil and gas fields in Central Asia. Since its inception, the "Goturdepennebit" management has held leading positions in the country in terms of oil and gas production volume. It is worth noting that over the last one and a half centuries, nearly half of all Turkmen oil produced has come from this region.
During the era of Renaissance of a stable state in the new millennium, systematic work is being carried out to restore the glorious history of this oil and gas region and take it to new heights. The enterprises of the state concern "Turkmennebit" operating here are introducing the most advanced world technologies, facilities, and equipment, which positively impacts the regular increase in the volume of "black gold" extraction. The oil workers of Goturdepe, striving to meet the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Permanent Neutrality with dignity, are working with even greater enthusiasm. Each of them expresses deep gratitude to the esteemed President for the unique opportunities to work in the key sector of the national economy and make a worthy contribution to strengthening the homeland.
