On November 6, a meeting took place in Ashgabat between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Myahri Byashimova, and the Deputy Managing Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia at the European External Action Service, Audrone Perkauskene.
The parties discussed preparations for the upcoming International Forum scheduled for December 12 this year in Ashgabat, in honor of the International Year of Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, and International Neutrality Day.
In addition, the parties addressed issues related to holding the next meeting of the Turkmenistan–EU Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation.
Turkmenistan’s commitment to further expanding trade and economic cooperation with EU countries was emphasized.
The diplomats expressed mutual interest in strengthening cooperation and implementing promising projects and programs, particularly in the fields of education, ecology, and transportation.
