On November 8, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots and farmers on the Harvest Festival. The head of state wished them good health, a happy and prosperous life, and great success in their work contributing to the development of the agricultural sector.
"Today, effective measures are being taken to comprehensively develop the agricultural sector and significantly strengthen its material and technical base. At the same time, this work includes improving farming practices, introducing advanced technologies, and improving seed production. We are also successfully addressing the challenges of modernizing the livestock sector, including poultry farming, ensuring food abundance, rationalizing land and water use, and protecting the environment.
"Through concerted efforts and thanks to the industry's coordinated work, our grain growers were able to deliver over 1.4 million tons of select wheat grain to the state this year, a source of abundance and prosperity for our people and beloved Fatherland," the President stated.
"We will continue to create all the conditions necessary to ensure that those who have dedicated their experience, knowledge, and skills in developing the agro-industrial complex to serving the Motherland—tenant farmers, cotton growers, grain growers, machine operators, agronomists, plant breeders, melon growers, gardeners, and other specialists—can work productively and live comfortably, producing high yields through diligent labor. These measures include the regular purchase of modern machinery, equipment, and machinery, the provision of sufficient mineral fertilizers to improve soil fertility, and high-quality seeds. This also includes ensuring timely payments to producers for the harvested crop. Thus, the necessary efforts will be made to ensure that agricultural workers are able to work effectively, directly benefiting from the opportunities, support, assistance, and benefits provided by the state. In general, special attention will be paid to the proper recognition of the work of Turkmen farmers.
The state intends to continue to create the appropriate conditions for a happy and prosperous life for courageous farmers who, through diligent labor, reap bountiful harvests on their native land," the head of state noted.
