A conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality was held in Astana

A conference organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kazakhstan, marking the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality, was held at the M. S. Narikbayev Kazakh State Law University in Astana.

Opening the solemn event, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Batyr Rejepov emphasized the historical significance of Turkmenistan’s declaration of Neutrality on December 12, 1995, which was enshrined in a UN General Assembly resolution and demonstrated Turkmenistan’s steadfast commitment to the ideals of peace and mutual respect.

Representatives of the Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan offered heartfelt congratulations, noting that Turkmenistan serves as a vivid example of a consistent and responsible approach to international relations.

Particular attention was drawn to the remarks of heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan, who expressed deep respect for Turkmenistan and highlighted its contribution to strengthening regional peace and good neighborliness.

As part of the event, an exhibition of Turkmen books was also held, featuring works that reflect the rich cultural heritage and spiritual values of the Turkmen people, as well as writings by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, which explore the philosophy of neutrality, humanism, and peacemaking that underpin the country’s state policy.
