On November 6, the 11th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OT) was held in Bishkek. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was attended by the heads of the participating States and observer countries of the OTG, as well as the head of this international organization. Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic N. Golliev took part in the meeting on behalf of Turkmenistan.
In accordance with the agenda, an exchange of views took place on the state and prospects of cooperation within the framework of the OTG.
Topical issues of practical cooperation in such areas as economics, transport, energy and culture were discussed. Special attention was paid to the coordination of joint actions to ensure the sustainable development of the OTG countries, including the expansion of financial and investment ties.
One of the important topics of the meeting was partnership in the field of digital economy with an emphasis on the development of logistics, strengthening the infrastructure of transport corridors and optimizing trade and economic relations.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on topical international and regional issues, including strengthening stability and security in the region.
Following the meeting, representatives of the participating countries of the Organization adopted a number of documents.
It is important to note that for his special contribution to strengthening the unity of the Turkic world, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban was awarded the "Highest Order of the Turkic World".
The chairmanship of the OTG has passed to the Kyrgyz Republic.
