On June 5, the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Environmental Aspects of Implementing Innovative Technologies in the Development of Hydrocarbon Deposits" (TESC) began its work in Ashgabat. The forum is organized by the state concerns "Turkmennebit", "Turkmengaz" and the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" in partnership with the ES "Turkmen Energy Forum" with the support of S&P Global Commodity Insights (Platts) and the British company GaffneyCline. The event brought together representatives of government agencies of Turkmenistan, major energy companies, international organizations and academia.

The conference is held in the format of two specialized sessions. The first session is devoted to energy prospects, new technologies and environmental aspects in the development of hydrocarbon resources.

The second session focuses on human capital as a driving force for environmental responsibility, with a special emphasis on addressing methane and CO2 emissions. Key topics include strategies to reduce methane leaks in hydrocarbon production with an emphasis on the Darvaza gas crater, technologies for reducing carbon dioxide emissions and the formation of a sustainable safety culture.

Meetings between the heads of national oil and gas companies and top managers of large international organizations are planned on the sidelines of the event.
