Turkmenistan’s national principles—based on humanism, peace, trust, friendly relations, and dialogue—contribute to the development of mutually beneficial international cooperation. The legal status of permanent neutrality has attracted major foreign investment to our country, which in turn has stimulated the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, industrialization of production, the introduction of digital systems and advanced technologies, as well as the latest scientific and technological achievements across all sectors of the national economy. Development programs have led to improved public welfare and living standards. A model of a world-class national economy has been established.

The consistent policy of neutrality has played a crucial role in achieving such high results. Over the past 30 years, Turkmenistan’s legal status of neutrality has been recognized three times at the international level. Today, the country maintains close relations with nations around the world and with leading international organizations. At Turkmenistan’s initiative, the United Nations General Assembly has adopted a number of important resolutions on issues of peace, security, and sustainable development.

Last month, during a plenary session of the UN General Assembly, the President of Turkmenistan proposed holding an international forum titled “Central Asia – A Zone of Peaceful Coexistence”, in cooperation with the UN and with the participation of regional countries, other interested states, and international institutions. This event will represent an important step in maintaining global stability.
