An informational and advocacy event titled “A World Driven by Progress – Proud Women of a Peaceful Homeland” was held within the country’s oil and gas sector. The event brought together women working in enterprises of the sector and was organized by the Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan, along with the primary women’s organizations of the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit”, as well as the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”.

As noted in the speeches delivered at the conference, during the revival of a new era of the sovereign state, women are actively participating in the public life of our country and are successfully working across all sectors. Thanks to the efforts of our Hero-Arkadag and our Hero Serdar, significant work has been done to improve the social and living standards of our people.

Independent Turkmenistan, adhering to its legal status of permanent neutrality, is earning a global reputation as a peace-loving state. The participation of the Head of State, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in the first day of the plenary session of the landmark 80th Session of the UN General Assembly, and his address there, became not only a significant event that reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s positive neutrality and commitment to the fundamental principles of international law, but also clearly demonstrated the country’s readiness to contribute to the development of international cooperation and the strengthening of global peace.

The wise state policy pursued by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero Arkadagly Serdar, enhances the pride of all women in our country — including the thousands working in the oil and gas industry — and instills in them strong confidence in a bright future.
