The 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence was celebrated on a large scale, filled with national pride and a spirit of creativity. This holiday serves as a vivid symbol of our people’s unity, solidarity, creative energy, and the confident steps our independent state is taking toward new, lofty milestones.

“In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of a powerful state, we are further strengthening the foundations of our Independence and Neutrality, confidently leading our country toward a great future. Therefore, we treat Independence Day—with all our progress, achievements, and prosperity—as a great holiday that deserves special respect,” said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in his address to the people, underlining that Independence is an unshakable national value.

The Celebration of Independence – A Reflection of National Progress

Festivities, performances, and creative events dedicated to Independence Day were held with great enthusiasm across all regions of the country. Among the key events were the flower-laying ceremony at the Monument of Independence and the official celebrations in front of the State Tribune. These events became a powerful expression of the people’s love for their state, its history, present, and future.

All regions of Turkmenistan, as well as institutions, enterprises, and public organizations, participated in the celebration by showcasing their labor achievements. Thanks to modern telecommunications, Turkmen citizens living abroad were also able to join in the holiday spirit in real time.

The Spirit of Creativity: Cultural Events and International Engagement

A variety of cultural events, concerts, and exhibitions were organized in honor of Independence Day. The performances by masters of culture and arts, attended by the President, became an artistic reflection of the country's successes achieved over the years of Independence.

These days also highlighted Turkmenistan’s growing economic strength, international cooperation, and diplomatic achievements. During meetings held by the Head of State with leaders of various countries and representatives of international organizations, special attention was given to expanding partnerships. Discussions with foreign guests who arrived in Turkmenistan for the celebrations covered new cooperation opportunities in fields such as energy, agriculture, and information technology.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s speech from the high rostrum of the United Nations General Assembly presented Turkmenistan’s international initiatives aimed at promoting peace, sustainable development, and trust—initiatives that were widely supported by the global community. Proposals such as the “Culture of Peace and Trust” and legal diplomacy reflect Turkmenistan’s contribution to solving some of today’s most pressing global issues.

Sustainable Development on the Path of Revival

Under the leadership of the Head of State, large-scale national programs are being successfully implemented to improve the living standards of the people, diversify the economy, and ensure sustainable growth.

Numerous state-level initiatives, new policies, and international cooperation clearly show that Independence is not just a historical milestone, but also the foundation of modern state-building, development strategy, and people-oriented governance.

Celebrating Turkmenistan’s Independence is not only a tribute to the past—it is also a manifestation of the people’s faith in the state, in development, and in the future. As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has emphasized in his speeches, Independence is a sacred value for our people. For every citizen of Turkmenistan, this holiday symbolizes the unshakable pillar of the state and the confident path toward a brighter future.
