From October 22 to 24, 2025, the city of Ashgabat will host the 30th International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025" (OGT 2025).

Over the course of three decades, OGT has evolved into a leading international platform for discussions on key issues of the global and regional energy agenda, fostering cooperation and the development of strategic partnerships. This forum plays a particularly significant role in advancing Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector and strengthening regional energy collaboration.

OGT-2025: Stepping into a New Era under the Motto “Energy, Innovation, Development”

Dedicated to its 30th anniversary, the forum will be held under the motto “Energy, Innovation, Development” and will place special focus on the current state and future of Turkmenistan’s major energy projects, including:

· The transnational TAPI gas pipeline;

· Investment opportunities in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea;

· New stages of development of the “Galkynysh” gas field – one of the largest in the world.

The conference will also address contemporary and important topics such as:

· “Green” energy;

· Reduction of methane emissions;

· New projects in the petrochemical industry;

· The role of artificial intelligence in enhancing hydrocarbon production.

OGT-2025: The Strategic Importance of the Conference and Exhibition

OGT-2025 is not only a platform for dialogue, but also a strategic event aimed at elevating cooperation between national and international companies to a new level.

Key Objectives of the Conference:

· Strengthening regional and global energy cooperation;

· Increasing the sustainability and reliability of Turkmenistan’s energy sector;

· Attracting investments in onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration and production projects;

· Supporting the development of processing plants and pipeline infrastructure;

· Promoting the energy transition to renewable sources and ensuring environmental sustainability.

The exhibition held alongside the conference will showcase the latest technologies and solutions from leading global companies. It is more than just a tech expo — it is an international platform for expanding cooperation opportunities.

30 Years of OGT: A Symbol of Successful Progress

OGT-2025 proudly marks its rich 30-year history. Since the first event, the conference has opened wide opportunities for international cooperation, investment, and innovation, playing a key role in establishing Turkmenistan’s energy sector on the global stage.

As a result of negotiations held during the forum, dozens of joint projects have been implemented, foreign investor interest has grown, and crucial challenges related to energy security and sustainable development are being addressed collectively.

Turkmenistan’s Efforts for Energy Transition and Sustainable Development

Turkmenistan, possessing the fourth-largest natural gas reserves in the world, is now focusing on developing new, environmentally sustainable, clean, and innovative directions in its oil and gas industry. The country’s major initiatives include:

· International partnerships to reduce methane emissions;

· Transition to renewable sources such as solar and wind energy;

· Carbon capture and the introduction of environmentally clean technologies;

· Strategies aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

These actions not only protect the environment but also open up new economic opportunities and attract investments.

Turkmenistan is Becoming a Regional Energy Hub

Turkmenistan holds a key position on Asia’s energy map. Gas exports to countries like China, Turkey, and soon Iraq, are a vital part of the country’s foreign economic policy. Large-scale projects such as the “Galkynysh” field not only generate significant revenue but also enhance Turkmenistan’s reputation as a reliable partner for international companies.

OGT-2025 is a continuation of this progress, creating opportunities to explore new directions in regional energy cooperation, forge new partnerships, and develop innovative solutions. It is more than just a forum — it is a clear expression of the country’s energy strategy, a roadmap for sustainable development, and a new chapter in international collaboration.
