At the digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held on April 5 this year and dedicated to the results of the first three months of the International Year of Peace and Trust, the esteemed President placed special emphasis on the need to continue increasing hydrocarbon production and ensuring the stable growth of export volumes. The Head of State also highlighted the importance of effectively utilizing the industry’s production capacities and consistently continuing exploratory drilling at the country's fields.

Indeed, our Homeland — Turkmenistan — is known as one of the countries rich in oil and gas reserves and as a state successfully developing and implementing major projects in the fuel and energy sector. A significant contribution to this important effort is made by the relevant divisions of the “Nebitgazburawlaýyş” trust of the State Concern “Türkmennebit.” The labor collectives of these enterprises are actively engaged in drilling new wells in promising areas and bringing them into industrial operation. A clear indicator of this is the fact that, during the first quarter of this year, 39,348 meters of rock were drilled across the entire trust, which exceeded the planned figure by 150 meters.

The drillers of these divisions, equipped with the most advanced drilling rigs, equipment, and technologies from leading global manufacturers — and operating them with great skill — are confidently reaching deeper strata. It is also worth noting that new well drilling at the Uzynada field is progressing at a high pace. Over the past one and a half years alone, drilling divisions of the “Türkmennebit” State Concern have successfully drilled more than ten new wells at this site, which are now yielding abundant flows of hydrocarbon resources. Most of these wells were drilled by the labor collectives of the Körpeje Drilling Department, which is also worthy of special mention.

Thanks to these efforts, almost 949 thousand tons of "black gold" were produced from the concern’s operating wells in the first three months of the International Year of Peace and Trust — amounting to 107% of the planned target. Particularly gratifying is the fact that, compared to the same period last year, oil production increased by 46 thousand tons.

The drillers of the Ekerem Drilling Department, who clearly understand the importance of hydrocarbon resources to the economic potential of our beloved Homeland, are also achieving significant results. During the reporting period, they drilled an additional 1,445 meters of rock, fulfilling 115% of their plan. The labor collectives of the Goturdepe Drilling Department, who also successfully met their targets, drilled 11,648 meters over the three-month period, thus outperforming the trust’s other related units in this field.

Most notably, the concern’s drillers handed over nine new production wells to operators within the first three months of this year, fulfilling 112.5% of their plan. Meanwhile, specialists from the Nebitdag Drilling Department managed to meet 150% of their target for commissioning production wells.
