The Department of Geology and Geochemistry of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev has developed an “Innovative hydraulic unit for displacing air from the cavities of drill pipes.”

The invention, created by professors and teachers of the said university - Doctor of Technical Sciences Arslan Geldimuradov, senior teachers Dovran Esenov and Rejepguly Gulmammedov, as well as teacher Mahmud Haydarov - received limited patent No. 956 from the State Service for Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.

In order to implement this installation into production, teachers from the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, together with specialists from the Türkmengazburawlaýyş Department of the Turkmengas State Concern, successfully tested it at the Galkynysh field at well No. 261 at a depth of 1,600 meters, at well No. 263 at a depth of 2,350 meters, at well No. 231 at a depth of 3,496 meters, and at well No. 264 at a depth of 4,019 meters. As a result of the tests, it was established that the use of an innovative hydraulic installation, scientifically developed to improve drilling operations, makes it possible to eliminate obstacles that arise during the drilling process when the pressure at the bottom of the well changes.

One of the other developments of these teachers is a device called the "Pneumatic Washing Machine with a Water Fountain". It was created with the aim of cleaning drilling rigs, their units and parts, saving working time and water, ensuring environmental safety, reducing costs and ensuring reliable, high-quality and long-term operation of complex technologies.This device has also received limited patent No. 935 from the State Service for Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan.
