On November 14, the XVII International Exhibition and Scientific Conference of Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technology and Broadcasting Equipment "Turkmentel – 2024" began its work in the capital.

The annual international forum, being one of the most significant events in the field of information and communication technologies, provides an opportunity to get acquainted with achievements in the field of high technologies, innovations and telecommunications, and exchange experiences.

The current forum is attended by heads and representatives of a number of international organizations, as well as over 200 manufacturers and developers of software and IT services, telecom operators from more than 30 countries, including the United States of America, Australia, Azerbaijan, Great Britain, the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Iran, Finland, France, Kazakhstan, Germany, China, Republic of Korea, Afghanistan, Russian Federation, Turkey, Switzerland, Ukraine. Among them are Thales, Nokia, Huawei, Amazon Project Kuiper, Dell Technologies, Delta Telecom Ltd, Eastwind, Eutelsat, Honeywell, Juniper Networks, Samsung, KT Corporation,SpaceX" and others.

The representative composition of the participants of the large-scale international forum, including world-famous communications and technology companies, is a clear evidence of the great interest shown in expanding cooperation with our country, where, under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the national economy is developing on an innovative basis through the introduction of advanced technologies and experience in accordance with the "Concept for the Development of the digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025".

There is a lively festive atmosphere on the site in front of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which is enhanced by performances of artists with song and music compositions.

The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and representatives of ministries and sectoral departments, diplomatic missions and international structures accredited in the country, and public organizations of Turkmenistan.

The audience listened with great attention to the congratulatory Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the international exhibition and scientific conference.

The welcoming message of the head of state emphasizes that in the era of the Revival of a new era of the powerful state, Turkmenistan plays an important role as the transport and communication center of the Great Silk Road, laying main fiber-optic communication lines of international importance on its territory. These projects, being an important branch of transit systems not only in the Central Asian region, but also in the East–West, North–South directions, contribute to the development of economies and neighboring states.

"Based on the world practice of high technologies and innovations, we are modernizing the national economy, achieving great success in the comprehensive development of the country. Improving the structure of digital technologies, the material, technical and legal base in accordance with the requirements of modernity, we carry out fundamental scientific and technical reforms and implement major projects," the message of the President of Turkmenistan says.

During the three days of the show, visitors will be presented its various thematic areas – information technology, telecommunications, telemetry, professional audio and video recording equipment, cable products, etc.

Modern technologies have become an important factor in the progress of society and a way to increase the efficiency of various sectors of the national economy. In this context, one of the main sectors of Turkmenistan's economy should be the information market, the functioning of which will have a significant impact on the development of other spheres, on macroeconomic processes in general.

At the large-scale exhibition, communication structures of our country, successfully implementing important long-term government programs and projects in the communications and telecommunications system, and their foreign partners presented their stands. These companies presented their achievements in the field of digital economy, cybersecurity, information security, telecommunications, information and computer technologies, satellite communications equipment, etc.

As you know, the introduction of innovations in all spheres of the life of the state and society, along with the development of telecommunications and high-speed information technologies, is among the priorities of our country. Turkmenistan is striving to actively develop international cooperation in this area.

The videos, shown on large monitors installed in the exhibition pavilion of the agency "Turkmenaragatnaşyk" – the authorized body for the implementation of program tasks for the transition to the digital economy, present the achievements of the relevant field in the process of digitalization, as well as providing high-quality communication and Internet services.

Today, the country's telecommunications sector is successfully implementing digital technologies and information and communication equipment that meet international standards. Consistent steps are being taken to create and provide high-quality competitive communication services to the population. Significant funds are invested in the formation and improvement of the core cluster. Cardinal scientific and technical reforms and major projects are being implemented through systematic improvement of the structural, logistical and legal framework of the digital system.

A special place in the exposition is given to the unified portal of public services (e.gov.tm ). Its launch marks the successful implementation of the "Concept for the Development of the digital Economy in Turkmenistan on 2019-2025". The unified automated information system "One Window" ("Bir penjire") performs electronic public services for citizens and business structures. This portal allows you to centrally receive and exchange documents in a short time. The types of services offered to the public through the unified portal of public services have been expanded, and citizens can use them and make payments using a smartphone or computer.

The exhibition halls of the closed joint stock companies "Altyn asyr" and "Aşgabat şäher telefon ulgamy" and the telecommunications company "Türkmentelekom" introduce high-quality mobile and Internet services provided, IPTV, as well as with the work carried out in this area in recent years.

The current show has become an effective platform for demonstrating the products and services of the world's leading producers and establishing productive business cooperation. Dozens of global companies such as Huawei, Nokia, Europeer Xchange, Thales, Motorola, Delta, Atempo, Colvir, LS Cable & System, Azertelekom, QazPost and Ozon introduce visitors With their latest developments, some of the guests are long-time partners of our country in the introduction of high-quality fiber-optic, mobile communications, and Internet technologies.

At the exhibition, along with government agencies – ministries, industry departments, domestic private companies presented their pavilions. As a result of regular government support during the transition to the digital economy, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs actively participate in the implementation of innovative projects. It should be particularly noted that the construction of the city of Arkadag, the center of digital and innovative technologies, which has a special legal status of a city of national importance and has no analogues in the region, is carried out by Turkmen companies. The smart city, built on the basis of the "smart city" concept, demonstrates the huge economic potential of Turkmenistan and its steady progress to the heights of scientific and technological progress. Guests and visitors are particularly interested in the stand, which introduces advanced technologies introduced in the first "smart" city of our country and their capabilities to create modern social and living conditions.

In order to keep up with the times, Turkmen specialists study and master best practices, striving to create a national development model based on the technologies being developed. Within the framework of the concept of transition to the digital economy, the role of private companies in the development of software, mobile applications, the creation of digital services and trading platforms is great. Business companies "Belet", "Kokary tilsimatlar Merkezi", "Nokat kompýuter", "Oguzabat", "Belli asman", "Imdat elektronika", "Jebisli gadam" and private enterprises "Nurly Tolkun", "Ak Toprak" and "Üznüksiz hyzmat" offer services for implementation in various sectors of the economy high-tech, as well as software development.

A separate place at the show is given to the pavilion of the economic society "Aýdyń gijeler", which makes a significant contribution to the development of the domestic electronic industry.
