At the extended session of the Cabinet of Ministers held on July 11, where the results of work carried out in the first half of the current year were reviewed, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed relevant decrees.
According to the decrees:
Mammet Velmammedovich Akmammedov has been appointed Minister of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan.
Hadjymyrat Shyhmyradovich Hudaygulyyev has been appointed Minister of Communications of Turkmenistan with a six-month probation period.
Begench Meretgeldiyevich Annadurdiyev has been appointed Minister of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan.
Dovran Reimbayevich Saburov has been appointed Chairman of the State Service "Türkmenhowaýollary".
Azat Hallyyevich Shanazarov has been appointed Chairman of the State Maritime and River Transport Service of Turkmenistan.
According to the relevant decree signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on July 11, the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan was abolished. The subordinate agencies under this body — "Türkmendemirýollary", "Türkmenaragatnaşyk", and "Türkmenawtoulaglary" — ceased their operations. Based on them, the Ministry of Railway Transport, the Ministry of Communications, and the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan were established respectively.
Additionally, the "Türkmenhowaýollary" and "Türkmendeňizderýaýollary" agencies were renamed as the State Service "Türkmenhowaýollary" and the State Maritime and River Transport Service of Turkmenistan and were placed under the authority of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
