
On October 24, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a working meeting of the State Organizing Committee established to ensure the high-level organization of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and the proclamation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” by the UN General Assembly. The meeting was attended by members of the country’s Government. The Hero-Arkadag also familiarized himself with the projects of buildings and facilities currently under construction and modernization in Ashgabat.
During the meeting, issues related to the modernization of various buildings in the capital were discussed, including the Monument of Neutrality and the improvement of its surrounding area.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty emphasized that the activities carried out in honor of this significant date encompass many aspects. In this context, particular attention was drawn to the need to ensure the timely completion of construction, the maintenance of cleanliness and order, and the preservation of the city’s environmental conditions.
The Hero-Arkadag then reviewed projects for modernizing buildings in the southern part of the capital, types of seedlings planned for planting, as well as lighting and road infrastructure projects. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baimurat Annamammedov, who oversees the construction and industrial complex, reported on the landscaping work around the Monument of Neutrality, the ongoing and planned construction projects, and their layout schemes.
In particular, the National Leader of the Turkmen people was presented with various tree species planned for planting as part of the landscaping around the Monument of Neutrality and in the Park of Neutrality, as well as with materials proposed for the interior design of the Museum of Neutrality.
After reviewing the presented projects, the Hero-Arkadag noted that all planned works must be completed with high quality and within the established deadlines, giving the relevant recommendations in this regard.
Alongside ensuring the dignified organization of the Neutrality Day celebrations and related festive events, the Hero-Arkadag emphasized the importance of properly conducting a nationwide tree-planting campaign, giving instructions to ensure the active participation of the city’s residents in this annual environmental initiative.
