Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic at a government meeting on October 23.
The Foreign Minister noted that the upcoming official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Italy, which will include a meeting of the heads of state, is expected to be an important step towards further expanding and strengthening interstate relations. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is also scheduled to participate in the Turkmen-Italian Business Forum and the opening ceremony of the "Ancient Civilization of Turkmenistan" exhibition at the Capitoline Museum in Rome. Following the visit, the signing of a package of bilateral documents on key areas of cooperation is expected.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to developing relations with Italy, with which the mutually beneficial partnership is strengthening. In this regard, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to properly prepare for the official visit to the friendly country.
