
On October 23, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital means, where state policy issues were discussed.
Mejlis Speaker Dunyagozel Gulmanova reported that a working group of the national Parliament is currently amending and supplementing existing laws of Turkmenistan related to the legal profession and advocacy, local executive authorities, enforcement proceedings and the status of bailiffs, legal acts, notaries and notarial activities, hunting and game conservation, and industrial safety at hazardous industrial facilities.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Khodjamurat Geldimyradov then reported on the ongoing construction of a new administrative building for the Pension Fund Department of the Boldumsaz Etrap in the Dashoguz Velayat.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the activities of the State Concern Türkmengaz. As reported, practical steps are being taken to ensure uninterrupted natural gas supplies to consumers and the proper functioning of gas pipelines, strengthen the material and technical base of specialized structures, and implement international best practices.
Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev reported on the activities of the agricultural sector, the progress of seasonal work in the velayats, and preparations for events dedicated to the Turkmen Alabai Festival. He announced the planned organization of an exhibition, an international scientific and practical conference, the 5th meeting of the Türkmen Alabaý Itleri Association, and the final round of the international competition "Turkmen Alabai Festival."
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymurad Annamamedov then reported on the ongoing work to modernize the legislative framework for the construction sector. He submitted a proposal for further improvement of the legislative framework for the domestic construction sector for the head of state's consideration.
Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev, who then spoke, reported on the practical steps being taken to develop trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Iran. He noted that preparations are currently underway for a specialized exhibition on export potential, with the participation of institutions and enterprises from the Gulistan province of Iran.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bahar Seyidova reported on the procedures for holding key events in November of this year. Conferences, creative meetings, exhibitions, and festive concerts, as well as opening ceremonies for new facilities, are planned for the coming month to mark the International Year of Peace and Trust, Construction and Industrial Workers' Day, and the Harvest Festival.
Deputy Prime Minister Bayramgul Orazdurdyeva reported on the international educational internet Olympiads, competitions, and scientific and practical conferences planned for November and December at the country's higher education institutions.
Then the floor was given to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, who reported on preparations for the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Italy.
He noted that the upcoming official visit of the President, which will include a meeting of the heads of state, is expected to be an important step towards further expanding and strengthening interstate relations. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is also scheduled to participate in the Turkmen-Italian Business Forum and the opening ceremony of the "Ancient Civilization of Turkmenistan" exhibition at the Capitoline Museum in Rome. Following the visit, a package of bilateral documents on key areas of cooperation is expected to be signed.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mammetkhan Chakyev then reported on the measures being taken to train world-class specialists for maritime and river transport. In this regard, Chakyev submitted a proposal for the head of state's consideration to hold a regional seminar in the city of Turkmenbashi in the Balkan Velayat, jointly with the International Maritime Organization and the International Hydrographic Organization.
Then, addressing the meeting participants, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the International Year of Peace and Trust marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, as well as the 30th anniversary of our country's permanent neutrality. Taking the opportunity, the head of state warmly congratulated the members of the Cabinet of Ministers on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN.
