A group of students from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas is undergoing an academic-industrial internship from June 29 to July 20, 2025, at China University of Petroleum in Beijing.
The visit is organized to familiarize students with the operations and experience of the China University of Petroleum and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). For the three-week training, the Chinese university has prepared a special program that includes visits to laboratories, training centers, and the university's museums.
Students are participating in short-term courses on topics such as “Fundamentals of the Chinese Language,” “Chinese Culture,” “Green Energy and Carbon Emissions Reduction,” “The Future of Oil and Gas,” and “The Future of Energy Cooperation along the Silk Road.” The courses are taught by leading professors of the Chinese university.
As part of the internship, the students will visit CNPC and its production facilities. Turkmen guests will also go on excursions to the China Geological Museum, the China Science and Technology Museum, and the Great Wall of China.
The internship program for Turkmen students is carried out on the basis of Memorandums of Understanding signed in 2023 between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas and both the China National Petroleum Corporation and the China University of Petroleum. Based on these agreements, training programs in China for Turkmen students are organized regularly.
