The prospects for developing mutually beneficial partnership were the main topic of discussion during the meeting held on June 25 between the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, who visited our country on a working visit.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the time devoted, the guest conveyed warm greetings on behalf of the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. As Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri emphasized, the government of the friendly state is interested in strengthening a fruitful dialogue with neutral Turkmenistan, which pursues a constructive policy and confidently follows the path of progressive development.

Conveying reciprocal best wishes to the senior leadership of the United Arab Emirates, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressed confidence that the visit of the UAE Minister of Economy would contribute to strengthening and expanding the spectrum of bilateral interaction. In this regard, the Hero of Arkadag wished the guest success in his negotiations with Turkmen colleagues and at the Turkmen-Emirati Business Forum being held in Ashgabat today.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the multi-faceted and long-term nature of interstate dialogue, which is consistently developing based on mutual respect and mutual support. At the same time, it was noted that traditionally friendly relations are characterized by a high level of trust and close cooperation.

Speaking about the economic relations between the two countries, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty underscored that the United Arab Emirates is one of Turkmenistan's key partners in the trade and economic sphere. In this context, the National Leader of the Turkmen people expressed firm confidence that today's Turkmen-Emirati Business Forum in Ashgabat would give impetus to both trade contacts and interactions between business entities.

It was highlighted that our states effectively cooperate in the fuel and energy sector, as evidenced by the accumulated positive experience of collaboration with leading UAE companies. Emphasis was placed on the effective nature of business contacts with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), with which a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the development of the third stage of Turkmenistan's largest gas field "Galkynyş," which is the main source for the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, has been signed. In this context, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty emphasized the importance of constructing the TAPI gas pipeline from an economic standpoint at both the national and transit country levels and for consumers.

Given Turkmenistan's vast natural resource reserves, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Hero of Arkadag, stated that Turkmenistan strives to enhance partnership in the oil and gas sector, inviting Emirati business circles to actively participate in internationally significant projects being implemented in our country. At the same time, it was noted that comprehensive transformational programs covering various industries are being implemented in Turkmenistan, including the development of gas fields, the construction of important energy facilities, and modern industrial enterprises. All of this opens up wide opportunities for strengthening business cooperation, continued the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, confirming Turkmenistan's readiness to consider proposals from Emirati partners.

During the exchange of views on the prospects for interaction, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the Minister of Economy of the UAE also expressed satisfaction with the immense potential for enhancing fruitful contacts in such areas as trade, investments, transportation and communications, green energy, and ecology.

The meeting also discussed the "heavenly" horses, considered the elite in the global culture of horsemanship - the national treasure of the Turkmen people. Expressing admiration for the beauty of the Akhal-Teke horses and the art of horsemanship of Turkmen riders, the guest noted the significant contribution of the Hero of Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the preservation and enhancement of the global fame of the Akhal-Teke breed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates exchanged warm wishes, expressing confidence in the progressive development of equal and mutually trusting interstate dialogue that meets the interests of the two fraternal peoples.
