On October 20, during a visit to neighboring Afghanistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Hero Arkadag of Turkmenistan, inspected the construction of the Serhetabat–Herat section, known as "Arkadagyň ak ýoly," which is part of the TAPI project.
"The United States of America was among the first to support the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India gas pipeline project." "Over the years of independence, relations between Turkmenistan and the United States of America have developed at a high level," stated Hero Arkadag, speaking at a ceremony marking the start of construction of the next stage of the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline.
The National Leader of the Turkmen People emphasized the contribution of the American company Bownstein, which is serving as a consultant for the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project and providing valuable recommendations.
