On November 26, Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, sent a letter to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressing gratitude for the warm message conveyed by Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Affairs at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care.

"I am grateful to you for your high appreciation of my contribution to the development of Russian-Turkmen relations and their parliamentary component.

I share your firm commitment to further strengthening the entire range of bilateral cooperation. I fully agree with you that interparliamentary cooperation has become a valuable and integral part of the political dialogue between Russia and Turkmenistan and has acquired particular significance in recent years. I believe that the visit of the Turkmen Parliament delegation to Russia in November 2025 was of great significance in this regard. I would especially like to note that we always appreciate the attention and support you consistently provide to the parliamentary dimension.

For my part, I would like to emphasize that the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is prepared for the closest possible cooperation with our Turkmen friends. We intend to utilize the significant potential that has been accumulated, largely thanks to your personal efforts, highly respected Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich," Matviyenko noted.

The Head of the Federation Council wished Hero Arkadag good health, happiness, and success in his creative work for the benefit of the people of Turkmenistan.
