At the XXX International Conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025,” Mohd Redhani bin Abdul Rahman, Vice President of PETRONAS, delivered a keynote speech.
The PETRONAS Vice President emphasized that the company is actively and enthusiastically integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into all of its operational processes. AI solutions have already become an integral part of PETRONAS’s activities in hydrocarbon exploration and production, helping to optimize drilling, predict reservoir behavior, enhance overall efficiency, and—critically—ensure a high level of operational safety.
Mohd Redhani bin Abdul Rahman placed particular emphasis on the prospects in Turkmenistan. He noted that this year PETRONAS is considering a significant expansion of its partnership with the national company "Hazarnebit".
According to him, this cooperation will not only combine PETRONAS’s extensive experience as the first operator of offshore fields in the Caspian Sea, but also enable the integration of advanced digital technologies into joint projects.
Thus, PETRONAS aims not only to maintain its presence—extended until 2050 under a new Production Sharing Agreement—but also to deepen its strategic alliance through innovation and enhanced operational efficiency.
