The Esteemed President Participated in the New Year Celebration

On December 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, following a cherished tradition, attended the New Year’s presentation at the Main Christmas Tree of the country.

Located in one of the picturesque corners of white-marbled Ashgabat, the "Älem" Cultural and Entertainment Center annually hosts this beloved winter holiday, which the people of Turkmenistan celebrate with joy, peace, and harmony.

Today, a vibrant celebration unfolded on the square in front of the Center, featuring young Turkmens. Around the country’s Main Christmas Tree, standing 44 meters tall and 16 meters wide, topped with an eight-pointed star bearing the numbers 2025, and adorned with sparkling multicolored ornaments, garlands, and lights, a true fairytale kingdom came to life.

The surroundings were also decorated with illuminated structures and colorful lighting displays, creating a floating effect for the New Year ensemble in the evening. The composition was further enhanced by bright glowing arches, artificial LED trees, and other decorations.

Entering this magical realm, children paused for a moment in awe before eagerly exploring further. The enchanting music filling the air invited them on a mysterious journey.

Children from various parts of the country were invited to the celebration at the Main Christmas Tree. Among them were top-performing students, winners of academic competitions, sports tournaments, creative contests, and more.

Excited and thrilled, everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of the head of state. The young Turkmens were proud that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was celebrating the occasion with them.

The President’s car arrived at the event. Children in festive costumes enthusiastically greeted the President of Turkmenistan and presented bouquets of flowers, expressing their love and gratitude for a happy childhood. One of the country’s state policy priorities is the unwavering care for the younger generation, creating all conditions for their comprehensive development and upbringing based on national and universal values.

In poetic form, young citizens expressed their deep gratitude to the head of state for enabling them to live happily, look confidently to the future, and achieve their dreams in their independent, neutral Homeland.

To festive music, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, together with the children, approached the dazzling evergreen queen.

On behalf of the younger generation, the main characters of the New Year celebration – Ayaz Baba (Father Frost), Garpamyk (Snow Maiden), and characters representing the Year’s symbol – congratulated Arkadagly Hero Serdar.

The festivities featured musical performances by young artists, who prepared creative gifts for the occasion.

In an atmosphere of magic and wonder, a spectacular New Year’s show unfolded, showcasing talented young vocalists, musicians, children’s dance ensembles, and performers. The children dancing in circles around the Main Christmas Tree radiated energy and joy, their eyes and smiles shining brighter than the tree’s ornaments.

The colorful carnival was enhanced by “live” characters from Turkmen folklore and tales from around the world.

President Berdimuhamedov watched with great interest and delight the performances of the happy children, who are the country’s pride and invaluable national treasure. As the head of state noted, today’s talented students will contribute significantly to the social and economic progress of their Homeland in the future. Numerous competitions, Olympiads, and exhibitions of children’s works highlight the state’s attention to the achievements of children and teenagers. These opportunities allow them to showcase their talents and broaden their interests.

In Turkmenistan, every effort is made to nurture the potential of the younger generation. Modern schools, preschools, sports, and fitness centers equipped with advanced technology have been built and continue to be constructed in various regions of the country.

Thanks to these opportunities, young Turkmens actively develop creative thinking, enhance their intellectual abilities, and engage in sports, representing their country with dignity abroad and winning medals and awards.
