On November 9, celebrations were held in the country on the occasion of the Harvest Festival, which embodies the abundance of the Turkmen land.

The main events were held on the bank of the Karakum River, which runs through the territory of Ashgabat.

The celebrations were attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, members of the Halk Maslahaty, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of public organizations, diplomatic missions accredited in the country, venerable elders.

On the eve of the Harvest Festival, in the assembly hall of the S.A.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a ceremony was held on behalf of the head of Turkmenistan to present state awards and valuable gifts to agricultural workers who achieved high results in the development of the agro-industrial complex and the cultivation of generous harvests in the year "The Storehouse of the Mind of Mahtumkuly Fragi".

In the era of the Rebirth of a new era of a powerful state, our Homeland is confidently moving forward on the path of reform and prosperity. State and national programs aimed at further improving the standard of living of the people are being successfully implemented.

As a country with an ancient agricultural culture, Turkmenistan pays special attention to the development of the agricultural sector. As a result of the successful implementation of the large-scale reforms initiated by the Hero-Arkadag in this area, the economic power of the Motherland is currently strengthening under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the welfare of the people is steadily increasing.

In order to further develop the industry in accordance with the requirements of the time, appropriate measures are being taken, modern technologies, the latest achievements of science and technology, best practices are being widely introduced, and the legislative framework of the industry is being improved.

In order to systematically manage the agricultural sector and improve its work, in accordance with the Decrees of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, scientific research institutes of grain production, agriculture and cotton production were established.

At the same time, starting with the 2024 harvest, government procurement prices for wheat, cotton and rice have been increased.

Special attention is paid to strengthening the profile material and technical base. Bank loans on preferential terms are provided to Daikhan associations and farms, agricultural joint-stock companies and tenants.

All this makes it possible to successfully implement reforms in the industry, raise it to a new qualitative level, and increase crop yields.

The adoption of state programs for the production of import-substituting goods and an increase in the production of exported products has become an important step in the development of the food industry and meeting the needs of the population for high-quality food products.

It should be noted that specific measures are being implemented to diversify the industry.

Special attention is paid to ensuring food abundance in the country, studying and implementing the best international practices in the relevant field, expanding international partnership, including the development of effective relations with the United Nations and its specialized agencies.

In particular, Turkmenistan's cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is intensifying, and all efforts of our country to achieve the SDGs are supported – from the development of the agricultural sector based on environmentally friendly technologies to improving the food safety system.

Musical performances by Russian masters of art took place on a special stage installed on the banks of the Karakum River.

An exhibition was opened in the open air, which presents the achievements of the agricultural and processing industry of the country, works of applied art depicting Akhal-Teke horses, Turkmen alabai and our beautiful nature, as well as national jewelry.

In the section dedicated to the achievements of the country's cotton growers, cotton varieties and products obtained by processing raw materials were demonstrated. At the exhibition, it was possible to get acquainted with samples of the best types of medium- and fine–fiber cotton, each of which is the result of many years of work by Turkmen scientists and breeders.

In addition, seeds of the leading varieties of Turkmen wheat and various bakery products are presented here. Thanks to the successful implementation of the agrarian reform under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, crop yields grown by hard work of farmers are increasing in the country.

At the same time, the interest of the participants and guests of the event was aroused by stands dedicated to the achievements of the private sector in the agricultural sector, as well as in water management, horse breeding, animal husbandry, environmental protection, food processing and textile industries.

The exhibition presents a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables.

A special place at the show is given to modern agricultural machinery. These are powerful combine harvesters, tractors used in crop care, and other specialized equipment, the effective use of which contributes to the cultivation of rich harvests of wheat and "white gold".

Here, the guests were given the opportunity to taste and familiarize themselves with the preparation of traditional dishes of national cuisine. The women demonstrated the processes of tahya embroidery, carpet weaving and making nightmares.

The special flavor of the celebration was given by the competitions in the Turkmen wrestling goresh, which is an integral part of the cultural heritage of our people.

All this has become a vivid evidence that centuries-old national traditions are worthily continuing in the modern era.

An exhibition of works by sculptors and artists dedicated to the work of farmers and our beloved Homeland was also organized here.

Then the celebrations continued in the square in front of the stage.

The audience listened with great attention to the congratulatory Address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed to the valiant workers of the village, the masters of high harvests and all the people of independent neutral Turkmenistan. As noted in the message, by the tireless and integrated approach of farmers, the generous Turkmen land is riotously earned and green with harvests of various crops, thereby significantly strengthening the food security of our country. Thanks to the reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, large harvests of cereals, vegetable crops, fruit and berry crops and cotton are grown, which ensures prosperity and abundance in the domestic market and in every home.

In independent Turkmenistan, great importance is attached to improving reform processes in the agricultural sector and increasing crop yields. Targeted measures in this area allow us to make reasonable use of the country's land and water resources, introduce advanced scientific developments into the industry and actively involve private producers in it. At the same time, they open up significant prospects for increasing the volume of agricultural products produced in our country, producing various goods from it for the domestic and foreign markets, as well as for consistently maintaining food abundance in the country, the Address of the head of state emphasizes.

On behalf of the workers of the agricultural complex, on the occasion of the Harvest Festival, the President of Turkmenistan was presented with a beautiful Akhal-Teke black horse named Keremli, born in 2021.

The participants of the event expressed their sincere gratitude to the head of state and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero Arkadag for the constant care of rural workers, the conditions created for the effective work of farmers and assured that they would continue to contribute to the prosperity of independent neutral Turkmenistan with new labor victories.

The festive atmosphere of the celebration was enhanced by musical performances of creative teams, which glorified the achievements of our hardworking people, who are creating under the wise leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the outstanding successes of the Motherland in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state.

The participants of the event accepted a letter of thanks to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which they expressed sincere gratitude to the head of state for constant attention to the consistent development of the agro-industrial complex of the country, and assured that they would continue to work hard for the benefit of the Motherland.

Celebrations on the occasion of the Harvest Festival unfolded in all regions of the Motherland and in the city of Arkadag.
