In order to improve the quality of current activities of HR departments in organizations and enterprises subordinate to the State Concern "Turkmengaz", enhance the professional skills of personnel specialists, and ensure proper fulfillment of their duties, a working meeting was held on the topic "Methods of Promoting the Development of Mentorship" at the building of the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas. The meeting was organized by the HR Department of the State Concern "Turkmengaz" and brought together managers and responsible staff of HR departments from organizations and enterprises within the concern.
The head of the HR department of "Turkmengaz", Ayna Hekimova, delivered a speech at the meeting, where she spoke in detail about the ongoing work in developing the oil and gas industry, based on the comprehensive reforms implemented thanks to the efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. She also addressed the latest achievements in science and international experience in the oil and gas sector, as well as the work being done to increase oil and gas production and processing volumes.
During the meeting, participants discussed issues related to proper documentation practices in HR departments in accordance with the Labor Code of Turkmenistan and other legal norms, and methods of working with young specialists based on their acquired knowledge. Special attention was given to mentorship, which plays an important role in enhancing the professional development of newcomers. HR departments were noted to have a key role in managing the activities of the State Concern "Turkmengaz" and its branches, as well as in the training and adaptation of young specialists to the labor market.
Participants were introduced to the methodological guide "Methods of Promoting the Development of Mentorship", which was prepared to improve HR department practices. Topics covered included: “Stages of Mentorship Implementation,” “Concept of a Young Employee and Young Specialist,” “Collaboration with Young Specialists,” “Types and Objectives of Mentorship,” “Roles of Mentors,” “Planning,” “Necessary Measures,” “Positive Impact of Mentorship on Young Employees and Specialists,” and “Motivation of Mentors.”
Training of broadly educated, highly qualified young professionals is a necessity of the times. HR departments should give particular attention to developing young professionals. In line with the standards expected from leaders of organizations and enterprises in our independent homeland during the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, it is important to fulfill the tasks of identifying talented and well-rounded young professionals, forming a personnel reserve list for leadership positions, and organizing the reserve fund properly.
It should be noted that the meeting, which was of an informative and educational nature, was held in an organized and highly productive manner.
