A gala concert dedicated to International Music Day was held to great acclaim in the Great Hall of the Maya Kulyyeva Turkmen National Conservatory. Organized by specialists from the Chamber Ensemble Department, the event took on special significance as it was primarily aimed at older music lovers, as the holiday coincided with International Day of elderly people.
The concert was a true treat for the audience, presenting a rich palette of classical and national musical culture.
As per tradition, the dutar opened the program. Lachyn Hudayberdiyeva, winner of the ‘Turkmeniň Altyn asyry’ award, delivered a soulful performance of the Turkmen folk melody ‘Balsaýat’, setting the tone for the entire evening.
The evening featured works by national luminaries such as Rejep Rejepov and Hydyr Allanurov, as well as international geniuses such as Bach, Puccini, Chopin, Ravel, Verdi and Sviridov.
The concert featured performances by Meilis Muratgeldyev, Begench Moshiev, Aibolek Mukhieva, Seyran Atanyazov, Vladimir Mkrtumov, Bakhar Durdyeva, and Stella Faramazova.
The festive evening concluded with Chary Nurymov's vibrant and solemn piece ‘Toý Aýdymy’, performed by all the concert's vocalists, including People's Artist of Turkmenistan Gulnar Nuryyeva and Begench Moshyyev. The concert demonstrated the performers' high professionalism and once again confirmed the unbreakable bond between generations and the love of serious music in Turkmenistan.
