On October 2, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov toured the capital, where he reviewed healthcare projects planned for construction in Ashgabat and the country's provinces, and held a working meeting.
In the morning, the head of state headed to the southern part of the capital. There, the President received a warm welcome.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baymurad Annamamedov reported on the planned healthcare projects, including a 500-bed multidisciplinary hospital in Ashgabat and a 300-bed hospital in Tejen, Ahal Province, a 400-bed Maternal and Child Health Center in Dashoguz, Dashoguz Province, and a Health Center in the capital's Bagtyyarlyk district. He presented plans for their locations.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of ensuring high quality work at the specialized facilities planned for construction in the capital and the provinces, as well as at all other facilities, and their commissioning within the established timeframes.
Along with this, the head of state gave specific instructions on equipping Turkmenistan's healthcare institutions with modern equipment, including utilizing the capabilities of the digital system.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov then held a working meeting with relevant officials to discuss the progress of work in the domestic healthcare system and other issues.
As the head of state noted, on October 10, the country will solemnly celebrate Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers' Day. The celebration will include large-scale events, including international ones, and the opening of medical facilities.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered thorough preparations for the groundbreaking ceremonies of medical facilities and measures to ensure a high-level international exhibition and scientific conference, "Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the Era of Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State," held on the occasion of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers' Day.
