On February 21, a meeting took place at the International Airport of the capital between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Hero Arkadag warmly welcomed the high-ranking guest to the hospitable Turkmen land.

After exchanging friendly handshakes, Hero Arkadag and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan posed for a photograph against the backdrop of the national flags of both countries. Expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality and conveying heartfelt greetings on behalf of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as the Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defense of the UAE, and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the distinguished representative of the UAE extended wishes of prosperity and well-being to the people of Turkmenistan. He also emphasized Hero Arkadag’s significant contribution to the development of bilateral dialogue.

Expressing appreciation for the kind words and extending reciprocal greetings and best wishes to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, the National Leader of the Turkmen people underscored that Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s regular visits to Turkmenistan reflect the exceptionally high level of traditionally friendly and brotherly relations between the two states.

During the meeting, it was noted that strengthening cooperation with the UAE is among Turkmenistan’s foreign policy priorities. The interaction between the two countries is based on principles of mutual respect and support. Systematic high-level visits serve as a reliable platform for expanding interstate dialogue across a broad range of areas.

The necessity of consistently strengthening partnerships in key areas such as culture, science, education, art, and creativity was highlighted, along with the importance of holding reciprocal cultural days and specialized exhibitions on a regular basis.

It was also emphasized that a special resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, initiated by the President of Turkmenistan, declared 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust," marking the 30th anniversary of the country’s neutrality.

Announcing that the International Forum on Peace and Trust will take place in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025, Hero Arkadag handed over an invitation to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to attend this significant event, stressing the importance of his participation.

The distinguished guest, in turn, emphasized that the UAE consistently supports Turkmenistan’s initiatives at the UN aimed at strengthening peace and stability.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Hero Arkadag and the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, exchanged best wishes for success in state affairs and for peace and prosperity to the brotherly peoples of both countries.
