
On November 26, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a letter to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressing his gratitude for his support of Azerbaijan's decision to join the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia as a full participant during the meeting held in Tashkent.
"I am confident that this decision, which once again confirms the friendly and fraternal nature of our relations, will strengthen cooperation and interaction across a vast geographic area.
The consultations held during the meeting, as well as the decisions adopted within it, clearly demonstrated the countries' commitment and desire to build a multilateral partnership in the areas of politics, economics, transport, energy, security, and humanitarian affairs, as well as in other areas of mutual interest, in a spirit of mutual respect.
"I am confident that the results of the 7th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia will make a significant contribution to realizing the existing potential for cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the region as a whole, identifying new areas of multilateral cooperation, comprehensively strengthening the friendly relations between our peoples, and promoting the sustainable and consistent development of the region," the Azerbaijani leader noted.
Taking this opportunity, Ilham Aliyev wished his Turkmen counterpart good health, happiness, and success in his responsible work, and peace and prosperity to the fraternal people of Turkmenistan.
