The Fourth Meeting of the Strategic Advisory Council "Turkmenistan – UN" Held in Ashgabat

On October 16, the fourth meeting of the Strategic Advisory Council "Turkmenistan – United Nations" was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The agenda included discussions on the Framework Program of Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN for 2026–2030, joint actions to implement the initiatives outlined in Turkmenistan’s priority positions at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, an exchange of views on the implementation of the outcome documents of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), as well as discussions on joint programs between Turkmenistan and the UN.

In his speech, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan emphasized the strategic and long-term nature of cooperation with the UN system, highlighting the significant contribution of UN agencies to the implementation of the country’s national priorities and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Special attention was given to the importance of Turkmenistan’s initiatives presented at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, covering areas such as peace and security, sustainable transport, digital integration, ecology, water resources, youth and humanitarian cooperation, as well as the promotion of the principles of neutrality and international law.

Following the meeting, representatives of UN agencies in Turkmenistan reaffirmed their readiness to closely cooperate with national partners to practically implement Turkmenistan’s international and regional initiatives stemming from the country's priorities voiced at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, and to assist in the effective implementation of the outcome documents of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3).
