On November 24, Ashgabat hosted the official opening ceremony of the first office of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), the largest international oil company of the United Arab Emirates, in the capital of our country. This significant event highlighted that the strategic partnership between the state concern “Türkmennebit” and ADNOC has moved to a new stage of development.
The location of the new office in the “Arkach” business center is expected to create favorable conditions for the large-scale implementation of joint projects. The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the “Türkmennebit” State Concern Guvanch Agajanov, the UAE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Turkmenistan Ahmed Alhameli, heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of mass media.
Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening cooperation with leading global energy companies to ensure energy security and promote sustainable development. In this regard, the scope of cooperation between “Türkmennebit” and ADNOC is expanding, with particular attention given to innovative technologies, digital solutions, and joint investment projects in related sectors.
This year, ADNOC further expanded its presence in Turkmenistan — the company signed a strategic agreement with Petronas, “Türkmengaz” and “Türkmennebit” on the development of “Block 1” in the Caspian Sea. This project is considered one of the largest opportunities in the energy cooperation of the two countries in recent years.
During the opening ceremony, the UAE Ambassador Ahmed Alhameli described ADNOC’s new office in Ashgabat not only as a sign of expanding cooperation, but also as an expression of the shared vision of Turkmenistan and the UAE for a sustainable future. The diplomat expressed gratitude to the esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero Arkadag, and the Government of Turkmenistan for their support, expressing confidence that peace, development and prosperity between the two countries will continue to strengthen.
The new office is expected to provide a fresh impetus to closer business cooperation, joint energy projects, and comprehensive technological collaboration between “Türkmennebit” and ADNOC.
