During the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, under the wise leadership of our esteemed President, our country — Turkmenistan — is confidently moving forward along the path of rapid development. The domestic and foreign policy of our state is based on the principles of positive neutrality.

The status of permanent neutrality has been confirmed three times by the world community. This demonstrates the firm consolidation of Turkmenistan’s legal neutrality status and the establishment of its reliable international legal foundation. Of particular importance in this regard is the fruitful cooperation between our country and the United Nations. By joining the conventions of this esteemed organization, Turkmenistan actively promotes international programs and strengthens effective partnerships. The declaration of the year 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” was also an initiative of our country.

The ideas expressed by our esteemed President in his speech at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, held last month in the United States, fully confirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to promoting peace, friendship, and humanitarian relations.

“Ensuring international peace and security is one of the main directions of Turkmenistan’s cooperation with the UN. As a permanently neutral state, Turkmenistan, fully aware of its responsibility, is ready to continue taking effective measures aimed at ensuring sustainable development through the promotion of cooperation and mutual understanding”, the Head of State said in his speech.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. This remarkable date coincides with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. Such a symbolic coincidence is a great source of pride and joy for every citizen of our country.
