In the International Year of Peace and Trust, celebrated in honor of the 30th anniversary of our beloved homeland’s permanent neutrality, wonderful news arrived from New York, USA: the adoption of the resolution “Avaza Political Declaration” at the 18th plenary meeting of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, marking an important event not only for our country but for the entire international community.

This joyful and inspiring news delighted and filled all our compatriots with pride. It clearly demonstrates that our homeland’s efforts, under the leadership of the respected President, to maintain peace worldwide and to develop mutually beneficial relations have received broad support across the globe.

From the very first days of independence, our country chose the principle of neutrality, which fosters peace and friendship. Permanent neutrality paves the way for a harmonious and peaceful life. This principle vividly reflects our views on peace, friendship, humanism, cooperation, and development.

Today, Turkmenistan’s foreign policy of permanent neutrality is a path toward peace, calling on the peoples of the world to embrace friendship and brotherhood. Our country consistently puts forward important initiatives at both regional and global levels. The steady support of these initiatives by the United Nations and other reputable international organizations further strengthens Turkmenistan’s state prestige and international authority.
