The State Intellectual Property Service of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan registered the copyright for the technology “Innovations in the field of regeneration of thick liquid diethylene glycol using alternative energy sources” and issued a certificate, the electronic publication “Altyn Asyr” reports.

The project, created with the participation of employees of the Laboratory of Production and Energy Saving of the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan M. Khudaiberdyev, R. Esedulayev, D. Gadamov and A. Pirmedov, is aimed at increasing the efficiency of diethylene glycol extraction at oil and gas condensate fields.

Water vapor in natural gas under certain pressure and temperature conditions forms methane hydrates, which can lead to clogging of pipelines and damage to equipment. To prevent these problems, diethylene glycol is widely used as a natural gas dehydrator. The importance of the invention is due to the need to ensure absorption at a level of 99% or more.

Thus, this technology will become an environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution that will not only increase the efficiency of natural gas drying, but also contribute to the sustainable development of the energy sector.
