Today, Ashgabat has become the main hub of global energy diplomacy! The XXX anniversary International Exhibition and Conference titled “Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas – OGT 2025” has started its work at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
It is important to note that OGT 2025 has become a significant platform for effective business cooperation. For the first time this year, a special zone for direct B2B meetings was created for participants. There, Turkmen entrepreneurs and representatives of state concerns hold face-to-face negotiations with foreign investors. This facilitates the strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation and turning it into multi-billion-dollar investment projects.
This year’s forum broke all previous records: nearly 1,500 delegates from 70 countries took part, and more than a hundred companies presented their latest technologies and innovative solutions. The participation of energy ministers of the region and heads of large international corporations is a clear testament to the formation of the Eurasian energy agenda.
Such a high level of interest is self-explanatory. Turkmenistan, possessing the world’s largest natural gas reserves, including the Galkynysh field, is already recognized as a long-term and reliable partner.
At OGT 2025, not only large volumes but also strategic directions of development are discussed. The main topics are the effective monetization of rich natural resources, the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline, as well as the transition to environmentally clean projects based on solar and wind energy. In essence, this forum also becomes a manifesto of Turkmenistan’s new diversified energy policy.
