With the entry into force of the Tehran Framework Convention for the Protection of the Caspian Sea Environment on August 12, 2006, the Caspian Sea Day is celebrated in five Caspian littoral states - Turkmenistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran and Azerbaijan.
Festive events dedicated to this day are held throughout the Caspian region, including in the Avaza national tourist zone. The representative forum - the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which recently successfully concluded on the beautiful shores of the Caspian Sea - in the Avaza national tourist zone - clearly testified to the fact that the Caspian Sea has truly become a platform that unites the peoples of the world and unites their efforts in jointly solving important tasks ahead.
The Caspian Sea is a region with great potential in terms of economic, energy and transport and logistics potential. The sea coast is a place where the relations of states and peoples, their traditions, cultures and spiritual values are preserved and are being enriched today.
