On December 16, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Hiroyuki Tsubai, Member of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President of Itochu Corporation, President of the "Machinery and Equipment" division, and Chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation.

Expressing gratitude for the time dedicated to the meeting, the guest emphasized the strong interest of Japanese business circles in working in the Turkmen market, where a favorable investment climate and all necessary conditions for productive activities have been created. Taking this opportunity, Mr. Hiroyuki Tsubai also conveyed his best wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, who has made a significant personal contribution to the development of Turkmen-Japanese relations.

Expressing appreciation for the kind words, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the upcoming 15th meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation, which will take place as part of the guest's current visit, will serve as an impetus for strengthening bilateral economic ties. Taking the opportunity, the head of state also wished success for the meeting.

As noted during the meeting, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the comprehensive development of relations with Japan as a key partner in the Asia-Pacific region. Intergovernmental cooperation, which is long-term and strategic in nature, continues to expand dynamically and improve on the basis of equality, mutual respect, and trust.

Our countries successfully cooperate not only bilaterally but also multilaterally within the framework of the Central Asia + Japan dialogue. Currently, bilateral relations include political and diplomatic, trade and economic, social, cultural, humanitarian, and other areas.

One of the priority areas of partnership between Turkmenistan and Japan is trade and economic cooperation. For many years, our country has gained positive experience working with major Japanese companies in the gas and chemical industries. The Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation plays a significant role in this.

As the head of state noted, the World Expo 2025 will be held in Japan next year. Stressing that a special Organizing Committee has been established in Turkmenistan to participate in the global forum, and that relevant preparations are currently underway, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took the opportunity to wish success for the World Expo.

At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Member of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President of Itochu Corporation, and Chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation exchanged mutual wishes for good health and success.
