During the digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on June 4, Deputy Prime Minister H. Geldimyradov presented a report on macroeconomic indicators for January-May of this year.
As reported, the comprehensive steps taken ensured sustainable development of the national economy and an increase in the standard of living of the population. Thus, during the period under review, GDP grew by 6.3 percent, including in industry the growth rate was 0.8 percent, in construction - 4.7 percent, in the transport and communications sector - 10.8 percent, in trade - 9.9 percent, in agriculture - 4 percent, in the service sector - 8.6 percent.
Compared to the same period in 2024, the overall volume of manufactured products increased by 9.7 percent, production indicators by industry are positive. Over the first five months of the current year, retail turnover is 12.5 percent higher than the same period last year, and foreign trade turnover is 5.4 percent higher.
During the specified period, the revenue part of the State Budget was executed at the level of 101.2 percent, and the expenditure part - 97.6 percent.
The amount of wages in large and medium-sized enterprises of the country increased by 11.4 percent compared to the same period of 2024. Wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships were financed on time.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume of capital investments mastered from all sources of financing increased by 16.3 percent.
The progress of the National Rural Program was also reported.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of taking appropriate measures to ensure sustainable economic development and maintaining GDP growth rates within the established limits until the end of the year. The Deputy Prime Minister was also instructed to strictly control the implementation of adopted state programs for the country's development.
