Recently, a delegation of Turkmen specialists returned from Bangkok, where they took part in the Second Regional Meeting of Asia-Pacific Countries. The event was organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
The conference gathered representatives from several foreign states and regional organizations. The discussions focused on the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration.
Speaking at the meeting, the head of the Turkmen delegation, Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, emphasized the wise policy pursued by Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the field of migration. He also shared the organization’s positive experience in cooperation with reputable international institutions.
