Ashgabat, June 29 – President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met today with Mr. Haruo Nagamatsu, Chairman of the Board of Toyo Engineering Corporation, who is visiting the country to discuss opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Mr. Nagamatsu expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and remarked on the honor of meeting the President. He also extended congratulations on the second anniversary of the city of Arkadag, highlighting its innovative “smart city” concept and the architectural beauty of Ashgabat.
President Berdimuhamedov emphasized the strategic and long-term nature of Turkmenistan–Japan relations, noting their steady development across political, economic, and cultural spheres. He expressed confidence that the visit would give new impetus to the partnership between Toyo Engineering and Turkmenistan.
The sides reviewed the ongoing cooperation in the oil, gas, and chemical industries and discussed prospects for expanding collaboration into new areas. The President affirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to consider concrete proposals from the corporation.
Concluding the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov wished Mr. Nagamatsu success in his work and expressed hope for continued, mutually beneficial cooperation.
