On November 18, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution approving, from the Turkmen side, the composition of the Joint Turkmen–Qatari Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The document was signed with the aim of further strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar, and significantly expanding bilateral trade and economic, scientific and technical, and humanitarian relations.
