
On November 17, a ceremony was held in Tashkent to present the highest state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the "Oliy Darajali Dustlik" Order, to the President of Turkmenistan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that it was a great honor for him to present the "Oliy Darajali Dustlik" Order to the head of Turkmenistan. As was emphasized, this decision reflects the sincere respect and recognition by the people of Uzbekistan of the achievements of the President of Turkmenistan in strengthening friendship, mutual trust, and strategic partnership between the two fraternal countries.
"As a prominent statesman, you are worthily continuing the work of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, and my dear brother, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. As I noted earlier, large-scale projects are being implemented in your country, creating a reliable foundation for ensuring a prosperous life for people." During each visit to fraternal Turkmenistan, I see firsthand the results of the large-scale work carried out under your leadership, said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Then the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on awarding the head of Turkmenistan with the "Oliý Darajali Dustlik" Order was read.
Expressing gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the decision to award Uzbekistan's highest state award, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that he views it as a sign of high respect for the people of Turkmenistan and evidence of centuries-old Turkmen-Uzbek brotherhood.
