President of Turkmenistan made a series of proposals at the 7th Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of state

On November 16, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov spoke at the 7th Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State. The Head of State emphasized the importance of continuing close political and diplomatic cooperation at the regional level and on international platforms, primarily at the UN.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that our countries need to significantly intensify the transport component of cooperation. To achieve this, it is necessary to actively and substantively participate in the creation of combined corridors along the East–West and North–South lines. In this context, the President of Turkmenistan expressed confidence that pooling our potentials to form a modern, extensive, efficient, and sustainable transport and logistics infrastructure is a worthy goal that meets the strategic interests of our states.

Among the pressing tasks, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also highlighted the formation of production cooperation chains in industry and the agro-industrial sector, more active participation of business circles in establishing joint ventures of various profiles in our countries, and the expansion of cross-border and regional trade.

The Head of State also expressed confidence that the development and support of humanitarian cooperation will always remain relevant and significant for the countries of Central Asia.

As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, while chairing the Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State, Turkmenistan will make every effort to strengthen our unity and cohesion, bolster economic partnerships, enhance the region’s attractiveness for serious foreign investments, and implement large-scale international projects in the fields of energy, transport, communications, and more.

At the conclusion of his speech, the President of Turkmenistan wished the fraternal peoples of Central Asian countries peace, well-being, and prosperity.

Following the 7th Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State, a Joint Statement and a number of other documents were signed.
