President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conducted a working meeting on June 24 via digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and the governors of the regions, where the progress of seasonal field work in the country was discussed.

Currently, the grain harvesting season is in full swing. Measures are being taken to organize the harvest efficiently, ensure uninterrupted transportation of collected wheat to collection points, proper storage, and timely settlement with farmers for the delivered crop.

Work is underway in cotton fields, including thinning, weeding, mineral fertilization, and vegetative irrigation.

Efforts are also being made to harvest potatoes and vegetable crops without losses.

The governors also reported on the progress of construction projects of social and industrial facilities under the "President of Turkmenistan's Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Country 2022–2028" and the National Rural Program, planned for commissioning this year.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev reported on the progress of the ongoing seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country.

Thanks to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's support, the grain harvesting is progressing rapidly in the regions. Corresponding efforts are being made to harvest wheat without losses and ensure its uninterrupted transportation to collection points, as well as timely settlement with producers for the crop delivered to the state. Currently, more than 1 million tons of wheat have been delivered to the homeland's granary by farmers.

Inter-row cultivation, weeding, thinning, mineral fertilization, and vegetative irrigation are underway in the country's cotton fields.

Coordinated efforts continue in the regions to care for other crops, harvest the grown crops, and supply markets with these products.

In Dashoguz velayat, care for rice crops is ongoing, while rice planting in Lebap velayat is in its final stages.

Necessary measures are being taken in the country's forests, pastures, and crop fields to prevent fires that may arise due to rising air temperatures.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the important role of the agricultural sector in strengthening food security in the country and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to closely monitor the timely and lossless collection of wheat harvested through the dedicated efforts of farmers, as well as strict adherence to agricultural norms in cotton care.

Addressing the participants of the working meeting, the head of state emphasized the importance of ensuring a high organizational level in the ongoing grain harvest, preparing now for the planting of other agricultural crops next year, and issued several directives in this regard.

Concluding the digital system working meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the participants success in their work.
