On August 15, three exciting matches were held as part of the 17th round of the Turkmenistan Football Championship. In each of them, the teams demonstrated a fight and bright moments.
Merv - Ashgabat (1:2)
The match was held in the city of Mary at the Merv stadium. In the first half, Ashgabat gained an advantage, thanks to goals by Roman Galkin (17th minute) and Begmyrat Baev from the penalty spot (33rd minute). Shohrat Ovmadov reduced the gap at the beginning of the second half (51st minute), but Ashgabat held on to the victory. This success brought Ashgabat three points in the standings.
Shagadam - Nebitchi (1:1)
At the Shagadam stadium in Turkmenbashi, spectators witnessed a tense game. In the first half, Bayramgeldi Nurlyev put Nebitchi ahead (24th minute), but in the added time of the first half, Mekan Ashyrov converted a penalty, making the score 1:1. In the remaining time, neither team was able to turn the tide of the match, and the meeting ended in a draw.
Altyn Asyr - Arkadag (2:5)
One of the most striking matches of the round was the meeting between Altyn Asyr and Arkadag. The meeting in Ashgabat ended in a rout, with the Arkadag club winning with a score of 5:2. Two goals from the penalty spot by Hoshgeldi Hojovov (60th minute) and Abdyrahman Annamyradov (42nd minute) could not stop the attack of Arkadag, where Shanazar Tirkishov, Didar Durdyev and other players distinguished themselves.
Thus, in the 17th round of the Turkmenistan Championship, Ashgabat and Arkadag deservedly earned three points, while Shagadam and Nebitchi drew.
