The Results of the "Talyp gözeli — 2025" Contest in Turkmenistan

The National Musical and Drama Theater of Turkmenistan, named after Makhtumkuli, became the venue for a vibrant celebration of beauty and creativity – the final of the "Talyp gözeli – 2025" contest, dedicated to International Women's Day. The event was organized by the Ministry of Education, the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization, and the Central Council of the Women's Union, emphasizing the cultural, educational, and patriotic focus of the project. The final round of the competition featured 23 participants from higher education institutions across the country.

In accordance with a long-standing tradition, this contest is held annually in Turkmenistan on the eve of International Women's Day. The finalists overcame a rigorous selection process on their way to the coveted title, successfully passing the university round and demonstrating a high level of preparation for the decisive stage. During the festive final event, which lasted several hours, the participants presented themselves before a panel of judges, which included esteemed representatives of the country's culture and arts.

Inspired by the high ideals of the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality, the young women showcased their talents in vocal performance, recitation of poetry, and stagecraft. During the competition, the participants also displayed their culinary skills. As part of this stage, they presented the traditional Turkmen dish "unaş," prepared according to the recipe from the publication "Bereketli türkmen saçagy." The final challenge was an evaluation of their handcrafting skills. The contestants achieved notable success, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in traditional national embroidery techniques.

A harmonious combination of beauty, intellect, creative potential, and handcraft mastery was the distinguishing feature of the awardees of the "Talyp gözeli – 2025" contest. This unity of spiritual and physical perfection, embodied in the vibrant images of the contestants, allowed the panel of judges to identify the most deserving candidate for the main title and rightfully award the top places.

Thus, the prestigious title of "Talyp gözeli – 2025" was awarded to Aylar Charyeva, a first-year student at the Department of Turkmen Language and Literature at the Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli.

The winners and finalists, who reached the podium, represent such institutions as the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi, the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazare Seydi, the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kuliyeva, and the Turkmen State Institute of Finance. The solemn ceremony honoring the winners and finalists of the contest became the culmination of the event, where, in recognition of their achievements, the organizers presented each participant with Honorary Certificates and commemorative gifts.
