On 18 September 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Turkmenistan (with residence in Astana) Dorj Bayarhuu.

The sides discussed the current situation and prospects for the development of bilateral ties, particularly through the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Mongolia.

At the meeting, the two countries expressed interest in further developing bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest.

The sides paid special attention to the preparations for the state visit of the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to Turkmenistan in autumn this year.
