At the Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State held on November 16 in Tashkent, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the high importance of strengthening the electricity sector and creating a powerful, multifunctional energy network in the region.
Turning to the topic of reinforcing energy partnership, the Head of State noted that Turkmenistan is ready to discuss further concrete steps not only within the framework of pipeline projects, but also in expanding cooperation in the electricity sector.
“Today we emphasize the importance of strengthening the electricity segment and creating, in our region and along its perimeter, a powerful network for the production, supply, and consumption of electricity. This would provide a reliable material foundation for the stability of the entire power supply system and ensure safeguards against potential negative external factors,” the President of Turkmenistan stressed.
