President of Turkmenistan met with the Federal Minister of Industries and Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

On June 25, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Rana Tanvir Hussain, the Federal Minister of Industries and Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the time devoted, the guest conveyed warm greetings from the leadership of his country – President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, extending best wishes to the entire Turkmen people. Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to traditionally friendly relations with Turkmenistan, emphasizing Turkmenistan's constructive policy based on its status of permanent neutrality, which serves as an effective factor in developing positive regional and international partnerships.

Thanking for the kind words, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov extended warm greetings and best wishes to the President and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He expressed confidence that the current visit of the representative of the fraternal country would impart a new impetus to the long-standing bilateral cooperation. The President underscored Turkmenistan's strong focus on strengthening productive relations with Pakistan based on principles of mutual understanding, respect, and mutual interests of our peoples.

The constructive nature of Turkmen-Pakistani political and diplomatic dialogue, which consistently develops within international organizations, was noted during the meeting. Mutual support for constructive initiatives on the world stage was cited as evidence.

The trade and economic partnership showed progressive dynamics, with priority areas including industry, energy, and transport, where substantial potential exists. It was emphasized that both countries actively participate in major regional energy and communication projects, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and power transmission lines and fiber optic links along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) route. Implementing these large-scale projects will contribute to sustainable socio-economic development in the region, successful integration into the global economic system, and the consolidation of regional peace and stability.

Cultural and humanitarian cooperation was highlighted as an integral component of Turkmen-Pakistani relations, with fruitful contacts established in this sphere.

In conclusion, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Federal Minister of Industries and Production of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Rana Tanvir Hussain expressed confidence that interstate cooperation, based on strong bonds of friendship and mutual goodwill, will continue to dynamically develop, enriched with new concrete content.
